You can expect:

  • In-depth surveys tailored to your property

  • Whole house approach, listing easy wins, insulation upgrades and low carbon technology, delivered in a staged plan of action and supported with in-person advice

  • Assessment of savings and costs, as well as local up-to-date knowledge on prices, suppliers, grants and subsidies

Advice for retrofitting your home covers property suitability, insulation types, clean heating, electricity generation, ventilation systems, and more.

How does it work?

  • Prior to carrying out a full retrofit survey of your property, we will deliver a package of pre-visit checks, looking at:

    • the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) of your property if available, and offering one if not

    • undertaking a digital survey, looking at things such as the suitability of your property for Solar PV, outside positioning of Air Source Heat Pumps and more

    • We will check for existing archetypes that may resemble your home and could offer useful knowledge on your property

    The pre-checks streamline the home visit, allowing us to build on its results in the retrofit survey and customise it to your property.

  • We will schedule a time that suits you, for a full retrofit assessment of your home.

    During the home visit, a retrofit surveyor will carry out a full home assessment, looking at details specific to the conservation and retrofit of your property. This may include:

    • The condition of the property and whether energy efficiency/clean heating upgrades could be paired with property maintenance to reduce costs

    • Discussion on timelines that suit you and your home

    • An in-depth assessment of costs and local up-to-date knowledge on prices and suppliers, plus grants and subsidies

    • Advice on the logical order to carry out works and the priorities based on costs, financial and carbon savings

  • You will receive a full, detailed report which has been tailored to your property, with easy short-term wins and a staged plan of action for mid – long-term works.

    You can use this as a reference on your retrofit journey and it will be supplemented with in-person guidance, plus our free workshops and webinars.
