Come along to the H.E.A.T Hub’s ‘How to Improve the Efficiency of your Home’ event in Melbourne - an innovative project to help homeowners save energy.

Date: Thursday 19 September 2024

Time: 10:30 - 12:30pm

Location: The Lounge, Melbourne Assembly Rooms, DE73 8GJ

Presentations and introductory session, with the opportunity to book a free home energy survey.

Refreshments will be available.

  • The HEAT Hub offers local and innovative in-person advice to residents with homes that meet one or more of the following :

  • are not connected to the gas network

  • located in a conservation area

  • energy inefficient and therefore expensive and hard to heat (Energy Performance Certificate Bands D to G)

A short presentation will be followed by the opportunity to speak to a range of experts one-to-one, including an energy assessor, air-source heat pump manufacturer, supplier of natural building materials, and more to be confirmed.

Eligible households can also apply for a free Home Energy Plan, providing an in-depth survey tailored to their property.

The event is being organised by specialist energy advice charity, Marches Energy Agency (MEA).

Peter Burgess-Allen from Marches Energy Agency said “We hope residents will join us to learn about what they can do in their home to save energy. For anyone wanting to improve their insulation, install an air source heat pump or solar panels, or wondering what can safely be done with an older building, this is a great opportunity to access free support and advice from experts, available for a limited number of home owners across Derbyshire.”
